Army lessons result in a strong mindset

Tim Jones on the learnings and lessons from the army and his childhood have shaped his mindset today

Summary

From hiking, kayaking and exploring with his father to being in the army under strict discipline and hardship Tim has many experiences of his mindset being tested! Experiences that he has learnt a lot from in terms of always pushing his boundaries and trying new things!

Something else that is evident during our kōrero with Tim is his fascination with learning! One of the aspects he likes learning about is words, breaking them down and understanding what they truly mean!

One of the words he talks about is indefatigable, which is basically not giving up, and persisting tirelessly! Something that he personally relates to. Tim talks about the power of just giving things another go and seeing if the door will open, but it’s a balancing act because you also need to know when the horse can’t be flogged anymore!
