Screen Shot 2021-09-27 at 3.31.21 PM

Summary:

Galia is trained as a psychologist and with her experience talks to us about many tools we can use mentally to help us cope in different situations.

These tools include working and living from a place of strengths and using our strengths to benefit the situations we face whether that be in the workplace or in everyday life! Galia talks about using the structure of SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations and Results) rather than SWAT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats)! Using this can help us to focus on dealing and evaluating situations best using our strengths!

During our korero we also touch on the underrated tool of sleep and rest for optimising your wellness! These are both SUPER critical to us being able to not only function day to day but can also be the secret ingredient to help us achieve greatly!

Galia talks about this in terms of our work environments too, and how we are often told not to rest if there’s nothing wrong with you. However the art of sleep and rest is that if you maintain a good pattern and ability to recognise when your feeling off, using sleep and rest can be super beneficial to your wellness!

Galia also shared with us her tool she created in being able to cultivate Upwards Spirals! She talks about how to cultivate these in our daily life situations and how to use these to change our mindset when adverse situations arise.
