Summary:

Having a work environment where you can talk about everything from criticism to praise should always be able to be an open conversation.

At Real Rad Food Hannah talks about having open communication as a key focus! To do this they introduced talking to the piece of paper in the middle of the room, “and everyone else sitting here is still their own person and is still someone who is held in a high regard, but it doesn’t mean that we can’t criticise the piece of paper in the middle of the room”.

Having open communication but always living your authentic self is key so “the person that shows up to work, the person that people see online, or person I am with my family, it might be a slightly different version of me, but it’s always me, and I think people can pick up on that authenticity”.

To help with this she talks about making sure she is open with her communication in both her home life and work. She talks about being a small business where you are working together each day, which means that it is important for her to know how her staff are feeling because she really cares about them!
