Sir Graeme Dingle KNZM, MBE and Jo-anne Wilkinson, Lady Dingle CNZM, LLB: Stories from a life of adventures and a special life mission

Sir Graeme Dingle and Jo-anne Wilkinson, Lady Dingle, talk with The Good Day Matrix about their journey

Sir Graeme Dingle KNZM, MBE and Jo-anne Wilkinson, Lady Dingle CNZM, LLB:

Sir Graeme is a legendary adventurer, who has conquered many mountaineering and rock climbing firsts! He is also a builder, painter and author…with a second book coming out later this year! Jo-anne is also an awesome adventurer, she is a lawyer and has held many governance roles in the arts, public and social sectors.

Together they founded the Graeme Dingle Foundation, a non-profit organisation with a vision to ensure Aotearoa will be the best place in the world to be young! We talk about how a meeting on top of One Tree Hill sparked this epic kaupapa and how their mahi has helped over 300,000 children’s lives throughout Aotearoa!

We also talk about sleeping on mountain faces, the importance of not letting your scaredy-cat mindset get in the way of achieving great things, and of course, a few of their great adventures…think leaky boat between Alaska and Russia!

A jam-packed, incredible kōrero, we hope you enjoy!

Graeme wanted to let you know that he has a condition of the larynx called spasmodic dysphonia, which can affect his voice and speech, which you may hear during the interview!
