Laura Casey: Founding a charity and a slice of wellbeing

Laura Casey:

Laura Casey is a wife and mother of two gorgeous boys! She is also the founder of Waikato-based Charity The Cake Detective!

The Cake Detective does incredible mahi to help ensure that every child, no matter their circumstances, gets to celebrate their birthday with their own birthday cake! Laura’s talents in baking and decorating cakes are exceptional, and she uses this talent to help kids feel special on their day! During our kōrero, we talked about Laura’s lessons in founding the charity and her purpose behind the charity.

During our kōrero, we talk to Laura about navigating losing the people we love and how this impacts our wellbeing. We also kōrero about panic attacks, meditation, mental health and a hack she uses before walking into a house of chaos after the morning gym!
