Ecosystems

Environment is being sustainable.

Environment is at home.

Environment is at work.

Environment is being outside.

Environment is a system.

Environment and wellness

So, how does our environment impact our wellness?

If you plant a flower in soil that is poisoned then how is it meant to flourish? That’s the exact same with our wellness, if we are in an environment that is immersed in negativity then how are we as people meant to flourish! It is so important to have an understanding about what you need in your environments to help enhance your wellness!

Home

What do you do within your home environment that helps your wellness? Do you have a space you go to in your home that makes you feel calm? Do you have music playing to help your wellness? Nesting in our home helps our wellness thrive, when we feel comfortable in our own space we are more likely to relax and just feel good! Have a think about little spaces that you can create in your home to help wellness thrive!

Work

If you surround yourself with like-minded people and spaces then you will be a reflection of that environment. You might not have the ability to control the people around you at work but you CAN control the environment you create for yourself to work in and you CAN choose how your environment you create makes you feel. We spend a lot of time at work, so have a think about the parts of your environment spaces at work that you can control and try to best suit them to what you need for your wellness and what you want to be projecting out to the world!

Time in our environment

Nature. Fresh air. Grass. Oceans. Trees. There is just something about going outside for a break of fresh air that helps the soul! Spending time outside is not only good for your health but also clears the mind and connects us to where we are at, literally! Here at The Good Day Matrix, we try to encourage ways that the outdoors can help your wellness it’s doesn;t always have to be going for a run, it could be a picnic with friends, gardening, flying a kite, getting the mail from the letterbox- every little bit counts in filling up your wellness cup!

Sustainability

Now this is a BIG topic, and one we are not going to be experts in, BUT we are committed to doing the best we can in the space of sustainability. We will try to remember to take our own takeaway cups, reusable shopping bags, recycle our clothes, compost our food scraps, the list goes on, but also let’s add on the list that WE ARE HUMAN, we make mistakes and that is okay to recognise and learn from! We are not perfect, but we are trying to do our small part to help the world be cleaner and greener!

Summary

Being aware and impactful in all of these spaces is what The Good Day Matrix’s environment pillar encompases! Knowing what you do in these environments to help them move forward and how you can do that little bit extra in your environment to help with your own wellness is massive! Understanding what it might take to further foster your wellness in the spaces you occupy the most helps us grow on another level we never consider!

We spend a lot of time at home and at work and these spaces need to therefore have a positive impact on us and our wellbeing! At The Good Day Matrix, we want to help provide you tools and tricks to help positively foster your wellness further in these spaces!
