Summary:

We talk to Ranjna about mindset and the strengths she has drawn upon to talk about the racism that she and her whānau have faced over the years.

Ranjna tells us the story of her children and grandchildren picking up on the casual racism that they faced within the community and Ranja says “we tolerated it in order to survive”.

Ranjna shares many stories and situations about her experiences with racism in board rooms, education huis, and even in day to day life, where she and her whānau have directly been impacted by discrimination. Ranjna shares how this not only affected her in New Zealand but also the ability to feel like she belongs in the many communities that she is a part of in her life.
